Outside Broadcasts
My training in outside broadcast and multi camera work was done at Tyne Tees TV. Back then they were involved in numerous programs, like "THE TUBE", "RAZZMATAZZ", "HIGHWAY with Harry Secome", and loads of live outside broadcasts, Church services, weekly Football, Bowls, Darts, in 2004 I worked on "The Match" with CTV. Recently its been mainly football, with , Sky. I've done just about every camera there is on football, but nowadays when there is upwards of 20 camera's at a match, you can never be sure. I normally am employed on the close up camera, but I'm happy anywhere. PSC & Single Camerawork

Here is a small section of my "I was there when".. I was there when the Scarborough hotel fell into the sea, Alan Shearer signed for Newcastle, Tony Blair became prime minister, (Twice), Charles & Di announced there split, Riots broke out in the North East, and 11yr old Sarah Scott's pet rat was found. StudioI did my studio based training at Tyne Tees, and my first broadcast pictures ever were of the local Tyne Tees News presenter of the time, Paul Frost, on Northern Life, Tyne Tees's news program of that time. Since then I have done almost every type of Studio based program you can think of, from The Tube, via Crosswits, Countdown, Question Time, to Studio based drama. StillsWhen I joined Tyne Tees in 1983, it was as a still photographer which is more as a hobby for me now, but I still occasionally get asked to blow the dust of my old cameras and do a bit. I have had the pleasure and sometimes misfortune to photograph some interesting people such as.. Paul McCartney, Lady Di, Paula Yates, Sir Richard Attenborough, Sting, and Nobby the sheep.. |
